Robert Bond, President of the Noble County Water Authority, informed the Noble County
Commissioners he received word this week that $2,025.000 has been forwarded to his agency
from the Ohio Department of Development. The Noble County Water Authority currently has two
waterline expansion projects in development.
“This is part of Governor DeWine’s releasing millions of dollars in support of critical water
infrastructure projects statewide,” Bond stated. “We will soon have more information on how this
money will be used.”
Misty Wells, Executive Director, and Rebecca Safko of Noble County Department of Job and
Family Services, informed the Commissioners they are applying for a grant to help them hire an
employee to address Noble County unemployment concerns at Job and Family Services.
Jeanne Yontz of the Caldwell Exempted Village School District, and Shari Rayner of the Noble
County Health Department asked the Commissioners to lend their efforts to obtain a federal
grant directed towards fighting youth food insecurity and obesity.
After talking with Noble County Engineer Todd Coss, the Commissioners are requesting ODOT
place speed zones on Rich Valley Road and Boyd Road near Sharon and engine brake
restriction areas west of Sharon and near the Noble Correctional Institution.
Finally, the Commissioners approved a James Rehyer 5-K Memorial Run In Caldwell on
Veterans Day.
