The outdoor improvements to the Noble County Health Department are almost complete, according to Kirby Moore, Noble County Health Commissioner. “The Improvement we’re most excited about is the drive-under portico,” stated Moore. “This will allow residents to drive up for vaccines and flu shots as well as have blood drawn without ever leaving their car. The nurse administering these services will also be under cover.” Another addition is a storage building health aides can drive in and out of to pick up their equipment and supplies. New automatic front doors have been installed making the building easily accessible to wheelchair bound residents. Other improvements include a new flagpole and landscaping around the building. “The only thing we are waiting for now is a new electronic messaging sign which should be installed outside our building within a week,” Moore continued. “We used local funding for these improvements with some grant money,” Moore finished by saying. “Grae-Con of Marietta was the general contractor.”
