Noble County, Ohio (AVC News)- Caldwell Village Administrator Darrell Crum, Noble County Engineer Todd Coss, and Randy Stoll of the IBI Engineering firm, met with the Noble County Commissioners recently to discuss a proposed new sewer line to be installed on, and near CR 56 (Fairground Road). The county has received a $550,000 Wastewater grant through the Ohio Department of Development. The new sewer line will reach 14 homes once completed. A meeting of the homeowners is still in the planning stages.
The Commissioners also approved an agreement with Consulting Services of Arcadia, to provide engineering services for the CR 56 Sanitary Sewer Project.
In other business the Commissioners entered into an agreement with LIB Engineering for all professional services including repair and construction of sidewalks, drainage, curb ramps, lighting, crosswalks, speed detectors, and other safety elements for the Noble/Caldwell Exempted Village School District Campus Connectivity Project.
A resurfacing project was also approved using asphalt/concrete overlay, on CR 50 in Wayne and Beaver townships between SR 313 and CR 34.
Noble County Sheriff Jason Mackie also informed the Commissioners the bidding process for a contractor to install a new generator at the Noble County Jail was unsuccessful, so the sheriff secured the services of a private contractor on his own. The old generator will be moved to the Noble County Highway Department garage.
