Misty Wells, Executive Director of Noble County Job and Family Services, delivered a report
recently to the Noble County Commissioners on the activities of the various programs under her
department.
Wells emphasized the support services offered to grandparents raising children in the county.
“We want these residents to know there are many services available to them including financial
and kinship services,” Wells told the Commissioners. “It is important they contact us at

Wells also told the Commissioners her Department has received statewide approval to hold
Hooked on Fishing Day at Caldwell Lake on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, from 10:00 a. m. To
1:00 p. m. Fishing will continue all day long after the program. Job and Family Services will
provide fishing poles and tackle boxes for all who attend. Food will also be available to all who
attend.
In her report, Wells stated her department collected $141,439.90 in the month of March.
Placement costs for children services and the adult protective unit totaled $2,976.00 for the
month.
Wells finished her report by telling the commissioners her department, in partnership with
Mid-East Ohio Vocational School, offers Aspire classes to all adults in the county where they
can obtain their GED or Hiset diplomas, their CDL license and other trade certificates.
In other business, Dunlap Contractors LLC of Waverly, West Virginia was the low bidder on the
Phase IV Water Line Extension project.
